FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Slim Organic
Where can I purchase this range from?
You can purchase the organic range from Holland and Barrett, Whole Foods Market, Amazon and independent health stores
How long will it last once opened?
2 days once opened.
What is konjac?
Konjac is a root vegetable that grows in Asia. It looks like a yam.
How will it help me lose weight?
If you had a regular meal with a 100g of basmati rice on the side, but you replaced the basmati rice with Slim Rice, you would essentially be removing up to 70g of carbohydrates from your meal. That meal with Slim Rice would still help feel satiated like a regular meal would, but with far less carbohydrates. Now multiply that by 7 and you will have saved nearly 500g of carbohydrates in your weekly diet.
Can anyone eat Konjac?
Yes, unless you have an allergy to any of the ingredients. This range is suitable for keto, gluten-free, low sugar, fodmap and paleo diets. However, if you have any doubts or if you have any medical concerns, please consult your GP.
There is an odour from the pack that resembles sea food or fish, what is that?
The odour is from the water in the pack, this can be easily removed by draining the water and rinsing the konjac under cold water.
When can I expect delivery of my order?
Delivery – Please allow up to 5 working days for UK Mainland delivery, 14 days for outside of UK Mainland delivery. (Please note you may be required to sign for your order).
What’s the difference between these products and the conventional?
The organic range is made from 96% water and 4% fibre, whereas regular pasta and noodles are usually made from wheat or egg and rice is made from rice. Per 100g, regular pasta, noodles and rice contains up to 70g of carbohydrates and 350 calories whereas the organic range contains 0g of carbohydrates and 9 calories.
How is it 0g carbohydrates?
The organic range is mostly made from Water and Konjac flour. Konjac flour is made from a root vegetable called Konjac, which looks like yam. Konjac flour is rich in water soluble glucomannan fibre. When mixed with water, it absorbs many times its own weight. Since water contains no carbohydrates and Glucomannan fibre does not get absorbed by the body, there are no carbohydrates available for the body to absorb.
Can I freeze a half-opened pack?
No, our konjac should not be frozen as this would affect the quality of the food.
Is Konjac a 'fad' food?
No! Konjac has been consumed in Asia for many centuries as a staple food in the shape of noodles.
Is Konjac suitable for children?
If a child is not following a weight loss diet, then yes. The range is suitable for gluten-free, low sugar, fodmap and paleo diets too.
