Per 100g, regular pasta, noodles and rice contains up to 70g of carbohydrates and 350 calories whereas the no drain range contains 9g of carbohydrates and 35 calories.

When mixed with water, it absorbs many times its own weight. Since water contains no carbohydrates and Glucomannan fibre does not get absorbed by the body, the main source of nutrition is from tapioca.
