THE NWE HEALTHY: PASTA
Just like bread, pasta isn’t bad for you as such, but it can cause bloating in some of us. Slim Pasta is newly launched and made from konjac, a natural vegetable fibre that the body doesn’t absorb. This is not a fad, though – it’s listed and approved by the Coeliac Society (coeliac disease is a digestive condition where people have an allergic reaction to gluten, found in bread and pasta, which causes discomfort, bloating, abdominal pain and tiredness). This new pasta is free from gluten, carbohydrates and sugar, and contains just 7.7 calories per 100g(regular pasta contains around 350 calories per 100g ).
